Last year was a fantastic busy year for making and selling.

I kicked off in May with the annual Anglian Potters event at Hyde Hall, Chelmsford.  I've been selling here for a few years now and it's always lovely to see returning customers and meet new ones. Particularly popular this year were coffee mugs, especially the lilac 'Hunstanton' colours.

 

Next up was the second Anglian Potter event  at the lovely (and slightly windy!) Walberswick in Suffolk.  We all had a lot of fun, I met some new potters (and maybe bought a couple of pots too;)  This was the first proper outing for my new plate range, and side and cake plates in particular were very popular in all 3 colourways.  So popular, I needed to make furiously in order to have enough for the next event!
 

My biggest event during 2023 was in August, at Haughley, Suffolk at the first Potfest East. As you'd expect from Potfest it was an amazing, super well organised event, put together by the lovely Matt. I was so glad I'd made lots of plates and noodle bowls because they truly were the sales of the weekend. I had 3 plates and no noodle bowls left by Sunday evening.

The rest of the summer was spent re-stocking the shelves ready for my favourite show,  Pots in the Pens at Melton Mowbray.  It was lovely to be back and see all my friends and fellow potters here. It was a fantastic and very successful weekend and the car weighed a lot less on the way home ;)

I rounded off the year with a couple of local Christmas markets.

This was my first appearance at the lovely event run by Emily at The Old Hall Christmas Makers Market in Southwold, and it was really fun. Big tea mugs were popular, together with small bowls, ideal as presents.

 

Last but not least was the festive Wonky Wheel at Finchingfield Christmas Fair in the local Essex church. Carols, mulled wine, chocolate, what wasn't to like, and it rounded my year off nicely.
