Hi, my name is Claire and I design and throw beautiful, functional items to eat and drink from, anything from a tiny espresso cup to a dinner service.

Inspired by the natural world – the ever-changing seasons, the light and shadow on land and sea, I use a small selected pallete of hand mixed satin/matt dolomite glazes to evoke the sunrise over the beach at Blakeney or Cley or the rich orange sunset over the freshly ploughed fields I am  surrounded by. I love the tactile nature of clay, how it can be dug from the ground, shaped and fired, and turned into a solid vessel that can last a generation - or more.
